Team member Emma Speers was joined by her team mates
The Great Strides 65 walking challenge takes place across the country each year and takes in some of the most beautiful scenery the UK has to offer!
Emma and her team mates trained for the event to ensure they could get the miles done within the target time of 17 hours. This was the 3rd year that team Isle Stride had taken part but that didn’t mean injuries could be avoided completely.
Emma was suffering with pain associated with weak glutes and turned to physio Steven for assistance.
Emma had pain associated with overuse of her left gluteus muscle and this was treated successfully with balance tape. The tape serves to relax the over-worked muscles and also improves the flow of oxygen.
The team successfully completed the challenge and crossed the line at 22.50 clocking up a total of 43 miles. A great effort from everyone.
